While I’m holding off on leaving (expecting backlash will force a rollback), be prepared: if users abandon ship, CapCut may relaunch on a higher-priced plan. Game plan: Export and back up all your master files today, and test alternatives like InShot or VN Video Editor so you can switch seamlessly if pricing or terms change.

2) Creator Spotlights + “How You Can Try This”

I reacted to a balloon-decor artist’s time-lapse Reel that racked up 378K views, and here’s how I used my SMART framework to analyze their success:

• Strategy: The creator uses a time lapse to show them deflating balloon art from a recent event.

• Monetize: Affiliate links are shared in their link and bio to help them generate additional income.

• Automation: The creator could have used a mini chat keyword for people to comment or DM them to receive the full list of tools used in the video.

• Repurpose: The creator has an opportunity to repurpose the questions that are in the comment section to create additional relevant content for their audience. 

• Tech & Tools: There was nothing fancy about this video. It was simply shot on an iPhone that was probably propped up just showing the process of what she was doing, meaning that we do not need fancy equipment to be effective.

How You Can Try This:

1. Choose a common task that you do on a weekly basis.

2. Record yourself on your phone in time-lapse mode to create a fast-paced video of you completing that task.

3. Inside of the Instagram app or your editor of choice, you can put text on top of your video sharing what you are doing.
